What it fixes
Four problems, each of which made the old list unusable for the one thing a cost overview is for.
A price with its period attached
Price per cycle, billing interval and commitment are one arrangement, so a monthly and an annual subscription can finally be summed into the same run rate.
The notice deadline, not just the renewal date
A renewal date says when the money leaves. The notice deadline is the last day you could have stopped it, and it is always earlier. The old sheet had no such column.
Four states, not one checkbox
Active, trial, cancelled and expired answer „does this cost us money next month?“ completely differently, and a TRUE/FALSE column conflated all four.
Currencies that can be added together
Dollar rows and euro rows are converted at a rate you have entered. Where a rate is missing the rows are excluded and named — never silently converted at 1:1.
